Cropping looks fine, Dave. You might look at bringing the sunlit side of the junco down a bit to see if you can bring back the black cap without destroying the looks of the rest.

Hi Dave, nice catch of this little one. Crop and exposure on the bird look good to me. I could see darkening the background behind the bird. Cute image.

Good pose and feather detail. Nice light on the front, though I might try to bring up some shadow detail on the back. I’d be tempted to see how this looks with a crop from the bottom and left.

At first look, I agreed with lowering the sunlight on the Junco, but after a longer look, I think it just fine.
