Description
Black Ibis feeding in the last light of the day, with the sun rays lighting up part of the lake. Fortunately for me there was bands of color across the frame. I moved a little to place the ibis in the right spot

The reflected light and silhouetted Ibis are wonderful, Balan. It might be interesting to place the birds higher in the frame as that can provide the illusion that they are more on the viewer’s level. When shooting up at birds, the opposite can help.
Hi Balan, I like the play of light here with the silhouetted birds adding a great focal point. The birds are centered vertically. You may want to try tighter or looser crops up or down and see what you think. Nice image.
Well, I am going to suggest the horizontal ripples and the vertical gold light remind me of a Scandinavian country flag with the birds situated at the crossing of the vertical and horizontal marks. The gold sets off the photo while the birds match the dark upper rhs background, but are separate from it. It would be good to look at other crops for a competitor, however this crop pleases me.
