Black Phoebe

A black and white Phoebe seems like a good subject for a B&W conversion.

Very nice. I wouldn’t change a thing. Well, maybe I would add a little to the left edge. I like it a lot.

Great pose, Sandy, and the black and white does work well for this bird. Well done.

Great conversion. Like it a lot!

The falcons here get a lot of these guys lately for snacks (pigeons seem to be their preference for principal meals). I think they are cute with their subtle tufts. I think you have done a very good conversion, Sandy. I like the perch and I like how you have captured the look back pose perfectly. I would consider lightening up some of the dark “bands” around the perch below the bird. As natural as that maybe, it looks like a sloppy burning on the perch?

Hi Sandy, I think this turned out really well. Nice black and white tones and fine sharpness on the bird. A complimentary background. Nicely done.

This is beautiful. IQ is really good, and the tones are very nice. Background is very complimentary. I love phoebes. They are some killers!

Beautiful pose and light! It does have a nice tonal range for B&W.
