Description:
I’m usually standing on top of the jetty photographing these birds while looking down at them, so I was lucky to get a few on the jetty rocks at low tide at eye level (i.e. wet and sandy trousers). The turnstones feed on the rocks and appears well camouflaged.

Hi Allen, I like shots showing the natural camouflage of birds in their environment and this is a nice example of one. Good pose on the bird too. Sharpness throughout on the bird and the rocks - f10 worked well here.

This is really nice, Allen. Excellent detail in the oystercatcher and the barnacle covered rocks. I’d be tempted to crop this quite a bit from the bottom and a bit from the right to get a horizontal aspect ratio and move the bird more off-center, but that’s just my taste.
