We were running a little late and didn’t make it to the location we wanted so we settled on shooting the canyon from in between the snow covered trees. It turned out to be Plan B but I was still happy with the end result.

Very nice, Ed! I like the color transitions and it has a good sense of depth with the valley taking you miles away. The vertical format works very well for this scene. The blue is a little strong, which is always a problem with lower light snow photos, especially when there is any amount of blue in the sky above.
The snowy trees in the foreground look great, Ed. The subtle color changes in the distance and the sky are good. I wonder how cropping to 4x5 with just a bit of space above the top of the tree on the right would look.
