I like how the bird is positioned in the frame. Try some noise reduction on the BG as the BG is quite grainy…Jim

Nice to see you back, John. A very neat looking bird with the mottled plumage. Those blues are incredibly intense. The exposure looks good to me and I like the general composition. If you don’t mind a little work with the clone stamp and healing brush I think that bright branch going from the bird to the upper right is a bit of a distraction. Nice image. Makes me think about spring and it’s not even winter yet.

A nice blue bird against a green background-what’s not to like? I like the perch in front of the bird, though agree with Dennis about the portion behind it. I could see a crop on the left.
