EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM

1/200th sec, f/10, ISO 400, 330mm

This alligator was found on Botany Bay Plantation Heritage Preserve/Wildlife Management Area near Edisto Beach, South Carolina. This was during March of 2018 and temps were still a bit cool. I’d like your thoughts on this image, thank you in advance!

He wasn’t too far away from me and I stayed in the vicinity of my car while observing this fellow.

Hi Jim. I think I’d go with more of a pano crop for this long skinny subject and clone over whatever might be left of the out of focus tree trunk on the right edge.

I agree with Dennis. It would make a much better photo.
