Box elder maple flowers

The unfurling of Spring, each part in its own time, day by day, is such a glorious thing. Watching the trees. in particular, going from bare to full keeps me busy every year with camera in hand. Box elder maple is typically considered a “weed tree,” but these flowers belie that term.

John, it took me a minute to figure out what I was looking at. Very cool capture and processing too. Well done.

Thanks, David. In another week it will be a gaggle of little “helicopter” seeds!

Tree flowers are fascinating, and this one especially – lovely capture!

I’m sure you’d disagree if I suggested you clone out the horizontal BG branch so I won’t. Oops! This photo really suggests Spring in all its glory.

I would not disagree, Mike, but there are way too many other photos to make this time of year! I’ll live and learn—thanks!
