Brown Creeper and an Orange-crowned Warbler

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Always love seeing the return of the brown creepers in winter here. This one was working up a tree in our backyard.

Orange-crowned warblers are an infrequent visitor to the set up. Attracted by bark butter.

So that’s where they go in the winter! An excellent shot of the Creeper, Allen. I’ve only had a couple of opportunities with them, but it’s always a pleasure to see them and even more to hear their song. The Orange-crowned warbler is also excellent.

Squee! I am SO JEALOUS of your brown creeper shot. So many times i’ve heard them nearby, but never laid an eye on one, much less a lens. They are so fun as they dash up tree trunks playing hide and seek with me. Maybe someday I’ll get lucky.

And the detail in that warbler is terrific. Those tiny feet. A joy to watch them gleaning along a branch.

Wow, great detail on both birds Allen. A nice smooth BG on the warbler and the creeper certainly has the camo for his job. Each bird’s beak tells a story about what their diet may be, which is really cool.
