Bryce Canyon Sunrise

Nikon D750 Nikon 24-120 1/3 F22 to get a starburst and ISO 100.

I like the starburst in this sunrise. Bryce Canyon alone is amazing. Does the starburst work here ? I know not everyone cares for them. I find it takes some practice and sometimes you get lucky.

Andrew,

I like the composition and yes, the sunstar works here. Although technically, it’s too bad the sky above is washed out, even preventing some rays. Too bad the clouds didn’t extend further. Not sure if there’s anything you can do about it. Despite that, I think this works really well and shows even better in the large view. Good job balancing the luminosity in the canyon given the time of day.

Lon

Andrew, I agree with Lon on the sunstar and background sky. I’d like to see a “little” more punch in the foreground red rocks…not too much but just a hint.
