It’s also pretty cool, Don. I love the stark black and white with just the shapes. The spines give away the subjects, but they add a lot to the image in my opinion. I don’t know what your view is on it, but it looks to me like the “white” is still fairly gray (might be just all the black around it) and for viewing on screen, it might be fun to take it full white.

That’s easily done, Dennis.

It may be better this way. I’ll have to get used to both versions before I decide.

The difference in the whites between the two is very subtle, but visible. I prefer the brighter version in the repost. I love the graphic nature of this, and the negative space created by the whites is very interesting.

Cool image, Don!

Thanks, Preston. I’m pleased with this one.

Very cool, Don! The bright-white version works for me.

Don,

Oh my, so very striking and of course very graphic! Great eye to compose/frame this. I’d say quite a unique view of the Saguaro(?). I appreciate that there is still some detail (part of the story!) within the cacti itself, but the pure starkness of the black - and white, enhanced by all the needles… is just wonderful.

Ditto for me on the brighter whites. More is better in this case.

Beautifully seen. No nits or suggestions. Love it!

Bonnie, Lon, thank you.

I’ve been to the place where this was taken many times. This must have been there every time but I never saw it before. There’s some kind of lesson lurking there.

WONDERFUL!! And beyond cool! So well composed and presented! This could be in a high-end gallery somewhere.
