Cape May Warbler

Migration is in full swing in NYC. I saw at least five Cape May Warblers this morning at Green-wood Cemetery. It was a very good morning. This one came down from the treetops quite a bit, but not as much as I would have liked.

I’m a big fan of partially concealed bird images, Marc, and I love the composition of this one. You also caught a great head turn and the colors are wonderful. The bird seems slightly soft, but I can’t find any of the foliage that’s any sharper, so It might be some other issue. Your shutter speed looks plenty adequate for the job.

Thanks Dennis. I also thought the bird was a little soft. Thanks for confirming.

Hi,

The warbler is a little soft, but not bad. I think that a slightly deeper DOF would have helped with the sharpness as the foreground vegetation appears sharp enough in my view. Well done…Jim
