Cattle Egret with nesting material

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

We saw several cattle egrets building nests in south Louisiana. Fortunately the main rookery we visited had a nice open view for flight shots.

Hi Allen,
Excellent resolution. Love the way the feathers are stacked in its wings.

Beautiful series, Allen. All the images are super clean and crisp. I’m tending toward the last for the raised crest.

All are wonderful, with great detail in the whites and shadows and lovely BGs! The last one makes me smile, wondering what his wife said when he dumped it on the doorstep. That crest is very cool – I don’t think I’ve ever seen one like that.

Another nice series of flight shots, Allen. While seeing the crest is interesting, the first one is my favorite. I like the wing position of the first over the second, and the branch obscures less of the bird compared to the third and fourth.
