Wonderful shot, especially the egret’s pose.
Great breeding plumage, Sandy and an interesting bit of nesting material. Nice wing position and good exposure. A very good image.
We have these wonderful little critters clambering over the shrubs outside our windows chasing lizards on windy day and plying the nearby pastures with cattle on calm days. You really nailed it on exposure, pose and framing. Kinda fun to watch one thrashing the top of a shrub to chase lizards down while several others wait below poised to grab. Even better to get a close look at one in flight as you’ve managed here.
Nice catch with the nesting material in the beak. Well composed with nice background. I find it a little difficult to evaluate this image because you are posting lower resolution images. I would say a higher resolution image would exhibit better detail in the white plumage. The smaller image on my monitor seems to have more detail than the larger image which I attribute to some type of JPEG artifact.
