Chincoteague Ponies

Revised version based on Jagdeep’s suggestion;

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

In 2004 we had the opportunity to visit Assateague Island to photograph the wild horses. This photo is my best capture from the trip, which I think captures the beauty of these horses and the peaceful environment they live in.

Specific Feedback

This is nearly full frame, with a crop off the top and left side (the horses were framed centered in the viewfinder). Any and all feedback is appreciated, as well on the visual and emotional impact of this photo.

Thanks for taking a look!

Technical Details

Very interesting frame ! I really liked the long mane of front horse. You may align the frame with water level if you like. It may benefit from slight vignette.

Thanks for the suggestion, I posted a revised version above!

It looks a touch better, but what I meant regarding aligning was to level the water level with top end of the frame.

Got it! New revision posted above - I appreciate your feedback!
