I so enjoy watching clouds, and, of course, photographing them. To see two layers of clouds, as was the case of this photograph I made in Wales several summers ago, is even more fun because both systems are often moving and changing at different rates. The lower layer formed a great “frame” for the upper.

I expect most of us love watching clouds - I know I do. Along with the sunrise/sunset… clouds are one of the many reasons drawing me in to photography, back in the day…
Great example of what you speak - catching different layers or even systems of clouds; not only moving at different rates and directions, but very likely part of different atmospheric conditions happening, based on their elevation.
