While the composition works for me with the leading lines of the ice and waves, I’m left asking myself if there’s more to this photo than “what it is” if that makes sense. I mean, your title is an apparent homage to what else it might represent; however, for me it just isn’t quite hitting that mark. I do wonder if some black and white treatment may help in that regard though! Have you tried that with this one?

Not really, I had a colour camera with me, not my Monochrom. I feel that a B&W conversion would have lost the tonal differentiation .
