This was supposed to be a sunrise shot, but the mountain was obscured by clouds when the sky was colorful. The clouds finally broke, but the color show was long gone so I went with a B&W.

This works really well as a high key presentation. The light is rather dreamy and gives a great look at the snow covered valley. I quite like it.
Darn mountains are always playing hide and seek. You certainly made some great lemonade with this one, John. The snowy forest with the mountain and sun star are just a great composition.
John, the high key look with the touch of sunstar works beautifully here. The mountains fading into the brightness and the dark winding river add a lot to this wonderful view.
There may not have been a lot of color but it’s still a dramatic sky with the sun star and part of the corona. The vast amount of powdered trees is very eye-catching also and the stream in front is a nice bonus. Very nice winter vista, John!
