Nice image showing the habitat - well composed with the grass coming up and I like the subject placement in the frame. I’d back off the sharpening on the head - seems to have added a good bit of noise to me.

This came out really well, Dan. I love the composition and you handled the side light very well. I do agree with Allen that the head looks pretty noisy in the full resolution version.

Well composed with very pretty light. I like the background and that transition between the grasslands and wetlands. The hawk really pops well. I also notice some of the graininess in the larger image. I’m assuming this was about the same crop as my images of the same thing; yours turned out better.
