Taken a couple of weeks ago in Yuma, AZ. The community there seems to be doing a lot to increase the natural habitat and there are some nice birding spots along the Colorado River.

Hi Allen: Gotta love the look of this hummingbird species. The colors and patterns are great. Nice pose. I’m wondering if this is a pretty large crop. The larger versions isn’t showing the details I’d expect to see?
Hi Keith. Yeah, a pretty good crop; I’d estimate about 25% of the original frame. Way up in a tree, but the light was decent, so I took what I could get as it’s not a species we see here in Oregon.
I love it when hummers fan their tales like this. I’d like to see more space on the bottom of the frame too.
