On a recent hike on Vancouver Island BC, I found this beautiful spot covert with ferns. I took several images but thought this is the best.

Natalya, this is a great collection of ferns, with a good variety of green tones. Given how dense the ferns are, I’d be reluctant to walk through. I do think you would focus more attention on the ferns by croppin the area to the right of the large tree trunk.

Thank you Mark, yes you are right. A 4x3 ratio would put more weight on the ferns.
