Balan,

This is a haunting photo. I love the central composition and its symmetry right-to-left. The most intriguing part for me is the color of the eyes. Why are they white? Are they reflecting the light like the reflection in the water or is something else goin on. Either way, the white eyes give the crab a ghostly presence.

Oh! Another Sally Lightfoot. I love the vibrant colours of the crab, but he/she does look a bit sad. The leftover eye stalk sockets are quite haunting.

Hi Balan - this is a hauntingly beautiful image. The crab and the receding water are lovely. While the Lightfoot crabs do darken a lot when they die, there is just enough colour left to be interesting.
@Youssef_Ismail As Glennie noted, the white is not eyes, but the remains of the eye stalk.
Very appealing image!

Quite an unusual subject, which is so colourful and looks straight out of a horror movie.
How big it was ?

Thanks Jagdeep …this could be about 4 inches across, not the large types.
