Duck in Motion

I was down low near the water surface and panning with the duck. I really liked how the panning motion blurred the water and gave the duck a sense of motion. I tried slower shutter speeds as well but the water got too blurry in my opinion.

Panning sure helped smooth out the water, Kelly. Nicely done. I also like how the bird is swimming into the frame with room on the left. Well done.

Kelly, the Mallard and its wake are nice and sharp., with excellent details. The water looks good with the kind of softness that you can also get with a slower shutter and more wind in a reflection shot.

Great balance of sharpness and detail on the duck and lovely soft water! The bow wave and wake feel like they should be leveled with some CW rotation.

Thanks for the feedback. Diane, thanks for pointing out the rotation. I actually struggled with that and appreciate the advice.

The duck as mentioned before is nice and sharp which adds to the motion in the water.
Very nice
