Darren: A fine artistic rendering of this rose. I like that I have to explore a bit to see the sharp edges and I like the color of the BG. Nicely done.>=))>

Nicely presented, Darren. I like how the edges of the rose creates a curved line around taking my eye through the rose.

Interesting composition, good choice of background but I wish for more in-focus areas in the rose. May I suggest that you step back to shoot the subject, then crop to come in closer. Sometimes that works great for a blurred background and a sharp focus subject. Would help if you listed the camera and its settings.
