The question for the viewer is, “Is this Egret leaving or returning (and maybe why)?” Not seeing whats down there adds a bit of mystery. (7D2, 100-400 @ 278, 1/3200 s, iso 800)

A nice action shot and the whites look pretty good. I wish there was some head turn which would help the composition considerably… I like the bit of greenery which provides some context to the shot…,Jim
I agree Mark, this is a bit of a mystery. From my point of view, I would say he is leaving the nest, based on the foliage in the LLC. So, was he coming or going??
