Description: This image was captured on the I and M Canal in the Lockport, Il. area back in September of 2022. I like not only the symmetry of the Egret and his reflection in the canal, but also that of the background foliage.

Pertinent technical details or techniques: Camera: Canon R5. Lens: RF100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM @ 300.00 mm, f/5.6 @ 1/500 sec. ISO 100. Edited using Photoshop and Topaz Denoise AI and Sharpen AI.

This is a very nice shot of an Egret, Robert! It’s a perfect candidate for the challenge with that strong reflection. I think the square crop is perfect for this shot and I like that you didn’t try to bring out more detail in the dark background because it puts more emphasis on the reflection and symmetry.
