A great Egret flying low above the lake on a misty morning. San Diego County. The sun was just hitting the upper part of the bird as it glided across the water.

Everything works in this - the light, the spot on focus, the creamy background and the forward energy caught in a split second. No wonder it’s a favorite.
David, this is wonderfully peaceful. The sailing bird, the subtle light and the mist make a great setting.

I like the way this Egret is flowing over the fog. Keeping the wings brighter than the rest of the body is interesting and probably not something I would not have done. Well, this is way I should study all the posting and learn from them.
