Image Description

I always get very touched when the photo safaris are over. Not only saying goodbye to my super nice groups of safari goers is an emotional event, but also saying a temporary goodbye to African nature, and all the super nice people who make my stay here so heartwarmingly nice. On top of that, once again we got to see some very special things, like this mother leopard with her cub.

Ingrid, you caught some sweet interaction between the cub and the mom here. Darling cub! His/her ear position suggests he/she is being disciplined a bit.

It’s a lovely moment Ingrid. The surrounding colours compliment the subjects and the low angle gives a closeness and intimacy. Very nice.

Thanks for your comment, Sandy. Mum and cub were actually playing. He was stalking her all the time and then jumping on top of her (yes, I’ve got lots of photos of that too  ), so it was a playful interaction and the ‘disciplining’ was part of the game
Emo is abbreviated for emotional. We actually use it in our language (Dutch) more than the long word :upside_down_face:

Thank you Richard, these were indeed intimate moments which they let us share…

Great interaction and appealing frame !
I may prefer less of the foreground and more of the bush area on top

Cats are cats and cubs are just a larger version of kittens. Mother is being a good sport putting up with this playful cub. I think that you got the shot off at the right time and am sure that mom was pounced on by this future hunter. Very nice shot…Jim
