Meanwhile, about a week ago I had to say goodbye again to a very nice group after a wonderful Uganda trip. The baby gorillas were the icing on the cake after 10 days of photography and other fun

I second Jim’s “awe and content” comment, but add a feeling of safety because it appears the youngster is being held by or is lying on its mother. Wonderful image.
My initial reaction was one of wonder and a feeling of innocence. It’s such a striking image and really well composed. Viewing this image really brings a sense of peace. It also makes me wonder what the process of “thinking” is like in such a new little creature. It is marvelous in all the ways a photo should be.
Stunning image with beautiful emotions! As @Max_Waugh mentioned, hand is a very interesting addition.
If this was mine, I may reduce the intensity of green here.

Thanks all for your nice comments. It was indeed an endearing moment. And well noticed @Jim_Gavin that the baby was lying on top op mama’s back. He was constantly in contact with her, still too young to venture anywhere on his own. And yes, it was a ‘he’
Out of all the photos I took of this newborn, it was indeed the detail of the tiny hand that made me choose this one.
