About This Image
The Baya weavers have arrived, and the colony was in chaos. Isolating was not easy, and shooting upwards into a cloudy sky. Recalibrated the exposure and DOF after dozens and dozens of missed shots. Horizontal frame cropped vertical.
Hi Balan, Agree with the other comments above. A striking image. Great to have sharpness on both the bird’s body and the nest. Well composed too to give a sense of dimension.
Hi Balan, my eyes have been caught on the vignette by the white background. Open the post, look at the image and really love it. Getting sharpnesss on both eye and nest is making the image well down. I can imagine how difficult it was to get the timing right for the bird in the right position and the wings open. I feel I don’t see enough of the nest in the composition, but in the same time make me ask about what it is and what the bird is doing? I don’t know if it was your intent, if yes, well done.
A superb job on this image, Balan. At first glance, it looks as if the bird is rather small in the frame, but when opened and viewed properly it fits perfectly. Very well done.
