Taken in the spring during nest building (I assume). A non-native species, but with nice coloration.

A very nice portrait of this beautiful bird. Probably not a very popular bird, being an non-native species (although since many decades) and pretty bold. In the Netherlands they are common, but the population is declining fast.
I like the pose with the nest material and the spring plumage. Nice capture.
In this light you get to see the amazing colours of this bird. From a distance they may seem quite undescript, but when looking closer ! Nice one. Cheers, Hans
Cool image @Allen_Brooks . The light on the bird to show off the colors is really nice. Great to see the back side view, but with a great head turn and the nest building material. Nicely done.
This is a beautiful shot of a Starling. Like @Hans_Overduin said, you rarely get to see their true colors. The position is great and the sticks in the mouth is a bonus. Good job.
Sweet one, Allen. It’s not often you can get all that iridescence to show so well. The building material is a nice bonus.
The starling is still wearing its winter spots which gives the bird more character. A wonderful behavior photo which shows the nesting season is close at hand. Well done…Jim
Excellent color and detail in difficult shooting conditions under harsh light. You brought out the best in this bird and its construction materials.
