background was burning but couldn’t figure out a way to cut it out
wasn’t able to use flash, is it a problem?

Nishand, I like how you’ve composed this with the nice soft background and a well isolated subject. Getting more detail in the subject especially to see the eyes clearly would be good. If you could maintain sharpness, moving your point-of-view a little bit to avoid that oof white bit that overlaps the caterpillar would also be good. To get a view like this without flash, you need to have the sun behind you or you need a light overcast to reduce the contrast.
