Description

I’m not quite sure why this caught my eye, but maybe it’s because there’s something honest about a flower that’s past its prime, still sitting pretty in a vase like it’s got all the time in the world. It’s like it belongs to that old Tasmanian farmhouse, with its chipped paint and creaky floorboards. The flower might be wilting, but it’s doing it with a kind of dignity that makes you stop and look, really look.

Good thoughts, and a nice (and different) image from you! I love how the peeling paint repeats the colors of the flower. It’s not quite at the wabi-sabi stage yet, but obviously a little past its prime but still holding its head up. I also love the reflection of the vase on the wall!

Thanks Diane. Was just one of those small scenes hard to walk past without snapping it, I think that light has lot to do with it.
