Ed, this is a great view of this pretty vinyard. I like your perspective, the fall colours, and the mist in the distance.
Well-seen and nicely-captured!
This turned out very nicely Ed. The rows of grapevines take the viewer into the scene toward the trees while adding some depth to the image. I also like the color palette with the greens and reds along with the fog floating above the trees.
I saw the thumbnail and immediately thought that was the Korbel Vineyard – it’s right alongside the road on my north route to the coast and I’ve been by this so many times. And the fog is so distinctive! You caught it at the peak of color.
Ed, this is a fine look at this vineyard with it’s warm grape vines set off by well tended greens between the rows. Of course, the symmetry adds well to the view. However, since non-nature photos were not specifically mentioned in this week’s challenge I’m moving it to Everything Else.
Thank you Mark, but if it’s just the same to @Dennis_Plank, I would like to have this moved to the Landscape category since they do allow rural and agricultural scenes.
A very fine scenic, Ed. I love all the leading lines and the background trees and shrubs set them off nicely. I don’t have any objection to this being in Landscape, so I’ll move it there.
Thank you @Dennis_Plank, I appreciate your help with this, and you kind comments.
Thanks also to @SandyR-B, @Ed_Lowe, and @Diane_Miller. Diane, you know the spot. That is exactly where this was. It is such an incredible scene, especially when the conditions are right. I’ve been back several times since then, but never got the same colors or the same type of cover cropping that looked so goo, and never the same foggy trees in the BG.
