The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
I am not sure how much appeal this will have, but I thought I would post it and see what my fellow photographers thought. It is busy, but I think that was part of the original attraction for me as I tried to balance everything in the scene. It took me a while to compose this as I was not sure how much to include. I knew that I liked the emerging spring leaves on the tree as well as those three twisted limbs. I also liked the way the BG woods were partially hidden by the tree. This is where I ended up .
Specific Feedback
How does the crop work for everyone? I thought about cropping those two areas in the upper corners, but decided to try this first. Also curious as to how everyone feels about the overall complexity of the image? Anything else please feel free to mention it.
Technical Details

You’ve got a nice little series of these going Ed. This one works well for me, and I like the complexity. There is a nice undercurrent of contrast between the vertical trees behind and the horizontal branches of that foreground tree. I also like the way the image flows out of that lower right corner; I think the composition works well. I also like the extra pop the green has (as compared to the prior.)
I could see darkening those left corners and that bush in front of the tree, but that’s truly a tiny nit.
Love the emerging greens here - beautiful! The new leaves are standing out great against the still dormant woods. What a great seasonal transition image.
The only thing I’m wondering about is what more is on the left. The area of emerging leaves on the left - I’m wanting to see a little more to help balance left and right? Clearly though, you included that intentionally - and as presented works well to balance against the growth on the right. Also, the branch structure works very well in anchoring the scene.
Really, no other nits or suggestions. I think you nailed the luminosity and saturation/vibrance with this one.
This is nice, Ed. I like the flow of the image from left to right. The splashes of yellow really pop against the darker BG. A great image that really captures the seasonal transition
