Any pertinent technical details: I wonder if this bird was smelling bears while drinking here. A couple of nights ago a really big Black Bear and cub took a drink from this bowl in our backyard. D500, Nikon 200-500 lens, Nikon 1.4 TC, 1/1000th, f 8.0, 700mm, ISO 2000, hand held, AI clear, cropped to 3703 x 2965

Great pose, Dave, and I like the composition. Detail in the Grosbeak looks very good.

Hi Dave, interesting rim lighting on the bird. A beautiful species. I think you could apply some more sharpening. Nice catch.
