Taken at a somewhat local wildlife refuge yesterday on a camera club field trip. I was struggling a quite a bit with the Sony settings and wasn’t too happy with my results, but I think I’m beginning to make progress. This was one of the few shots that I was really happy with.

Sony A6500, Sony 200-600 lens @ 600 mm, bean bag on car window, f/8, 1/2000, iso 1000, manual exposure. Processed in LR & PS CC. Cropped to 4000x2784 before resizing. Taken at 12:40 pm under thin clouds.

I like the feather detail. There’s a peaceful feeling to the composition.
