Mario,

This really, really comes across as a seascape painting; very impressionistic of course. The balance between the main elements is really nice; from the brooking sky, to the crashing surf and the sandy beach. The colors seem to play off each other well; including the hints of magenta along the surf line.

Initially, I was torn with how I felt with the main, crashing surf in the middle, perhaps being too dominant? I can’t really describe it. But the more I’ve viewed this, the more it grows on my - to the point where I’ve concluded it looks like a painting. Which I think looks quite beautiful.

On a side note, we’re limited to 1 image post per day. You know, we’re not very big on policing this, so I’d say it’s no big deal - plus, now that I’ve commented, we’re not supposed to move? Again, no biggie.

Simply gorgeous!!! I’ve gotten behind here and have only glanced at most of your recent posts, but I’m really enjoying your explorations. I don’t mind the centered composition here, but could see a version with some cropped off the top and maybe a little off the bottom. And/or some subtle vignetting. I think a more horizontal frame would fit with the motion of the waves.

Thank you for the comments Lon @Lon_Overacker and Diane @Diane_Miller . I initially wondered about the center focal point but also decided to leave it that way. I think some times the rules stifle creativity and as I do more ICM and multiple exposure work I feel it works many times to simply create and not worry about them.

I am going to try a cropped version that you suggested Diane, I’ll post it.

cropped larger file and I think I like this better than original…thanks Diane @Diane_Miller

I’ve been out of town and I’m just getting to this. I like the cropped version a lot and I think it’s a significant improvement. Listening to Diane is usually a good idea.
