I got lucky this morning and managed this shot of a fine looking Ferruginous Hawk (my personal fav of all the Hawks). I pulled over and shot it right out the car window.

Dave, the light is fantastic in this image. I like the lighting on the bird and it highlights nicely with the background. The bird’s pose and position in the frame are terrific too.

Great - yes, I’d keep the pole in the shot (but would clone out the black spot above it!).
Wonderful shot. I like it. The detail is superb, and I agree, the pole in the image too. It’s great to see such a tight image of this big hawk of the open country.
