Self Critique

I think the balancing colors while eliminating much of the background supports focus on the subjects. Too dark?

Creative direction

Taking advantage of the deep orange red sunset, creating a warm photograph of two zebra’s fighting while making the barren background and foreground obscure.

Description

Captured at sunset in South Africa’s Madikwe Game Reserve, this scene is shaped by the reserve’s iron-rich soil, which glows a deep, earthy red. Paired with an exceptionally fiery sky, the moment radiated warmth. Bringing the image to life meant carefully balancing those powerful reds in processing.
