Image Description
It was nice and warm in the Lake Magadi area. Thankfully the photography hides where we were seated, were nice and cool. These zebras were also hot and came to quench their thirst.

I really liked the arrangement (placement of Zebras) within the frame, neatly composed !
Was the lighting natural or artificial, looks natural to me. I would prefer to have your copyright sign either above or below the image.
Nice shot love the light and how it falls off and you get farther from the center. and the reflections are beautiful. I just tooke a screen shot and change the crop to a pano as I feel the black above and below the subjects is wasted space.
Thanks Jagdeep!
The lighting is artificial and permanent so it doesn’t scare the animals.
I know re. the copyright, though I like to keep it on the actual image so as to increase protection.
All the best, Ingrid.
Hi Paul,
First of all welcome to this community! I hope you will find it a rewarding place to share your photos and ideas.
Thanks so much for your comment on the composition of the photo. However, in many cases I actually love to give space to my subjects, as long as the space does not distract. Since the space is the black of night, I personally feel that it adds to the atmosphere. But as always, tastes and opinions differ, and sharing them does make a person think - and then draw a personal conclusion.
All the best
Ingrid.
Nice EP, Ingrid.
I do hope you’ll start making some useful crtiques, as your experience and perspective woud be invaluable to the rest of us. I think the suggestion is at least 2 thoughtful critiques for every post made.
Thanks -
Ingrid, What a striking night image of these beautiful zebras enjoying a midnight drink. Terrific wildlife image. I find the writing / logo to be too close to the animals in a distracting way. Could it be placed elsewhere to be more visible too?
I applaud your wildlife imagery skill.
Hi Larry
Thanks for your comment and appreciation of my photography.
However, I do like to keep my logo somewhere where it’s difficult to remove. It’s a choice of mine which can be a bit annoying, I know, but I hope any viewers can somehow understand and try to block it in their minds.
All the best, Ingrid.
