Description

I was set up, and shooting birds at a friend’s place when I got some lucky shots of a scrap between male house finches. I unusual orange male below got too close to the red guy’s nest (very close by) when the nest papa went after him. I’d read that this unusual color is food related.

Very cool action in this image, Dave. I do wish the birds were a bit sharper, but that’s a lot to ask for in this kind of action.

It’s very interesting how the colors are food related.

Very cool that you managed to capture "Fight & Flight’ in the same shot.

And the content in this far outweighs any minor technical issues in my mumble opinion.
