What technical feedback would you like if any?

What artistic feedback would you like if any? I liked the idea of shooting a small cluster of these lovely flowers - but maybe those behind distract from the main flower ?

Any pertinent technical details: Canon 7D, Tamron 55-200 @ 171, 1/160 @ f5, ISO 400

Ian: I look forward every year to your crocus shots. This is a terrific lead. I like your DOF/POF choice and the color palette and BG. Superbly crafted image.>=))>

I think this works just fine as-is, Ian. Your depth of field and the relative positions of the blooms create a nice visual echo effect. I tried doing a horizontal flip to see if it had more pop and I think it may. You might want to take a look at it anyhow.

Ian I love your interpretation of the crocuses even for the 2019. The photo is for me beautiful just as it is.

It is such a pleasing view ranging from sharp focus to the gradual blurring in the background. Spring! Ah yes its coming?

Beautiful - perfect colour combination, perspective , sharpness grading -
another exceptional image.
