Flamingo in-flight

These are majestic birds and difficult to find one flying. This was actually taken on the island of Sardinia several years ago. I was just lucky finding this one in the air. All the others were walking through the water. This was taken at sunrise.

It is rare to see them fly on their own. I’ve only seen pictures of flocks of them. Really great look at this so specialized bird. The light is to die for. Glad you were on hand!
