The mountains are everywhere in western Montana, and there are so many ranges: the Cabinet Mountains, the Mission Mountains, the northern Bitterroots, the southern Bitterroots, the Tobacco Root Mountains, the Crazy Mountains, the Pioneer Mountains, the Beartooth Mountains, and many more.
They all stir up my imagination, and that’s why I put on a pack, grab my camera, and set out to explore them. I’ve hiked, backpacked, and photographed almost all these ranges looking for the most beautiful sections of each, and many of them I’ve visited more than once.
