Fox Gloves

Same day as when I took photos of the lilies. There were also foxgloves everywhere. This one was so tall it made me laugh! and I thought it looked neat with the pine trees behind it, kind of similar, repeating shapes.

I see the echo in shapes and probably wouldn’t have thought about doing that myself if I were there. Nice touch. These are so tough to shoot because of their tall skinny nature, but you got it nicely here. Wish there was more room on top though. The flowers in the middle of the stem look sharp, but there’s some fall off at the top and bottoms. Given you were handholding, I think it’s a nice representation.

Thanks @Kris_Smith yeah, I see the top part kind of turns into a background blur. I should’ve used my small lens. A lot of times I just like to take my camera strapped around me with no pack, so I always choose the long lens. This was one of those times!

Vanessa: I like the idea. I might have taken a step or three to the left to put the foxglove completely against the sky so that it doesn’t merge with the BG trees but the trees are OOF enough to allow some separation. Well seen. >=))>

Thanks @Bill_Fach glad you like the idea anyway! I purposely chose the angle because I wanted to get more than just the closer bg tree in the image, there’s another tree right behind it to the right that’s also in the image. But I can see it doesn’t have the effect I was hoping for! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
