Gator Bait

Most times these guys will make it across this small body of water without incident, and mostly here because the alligators in these ponds are substantially smaller than ones in larger, deeper bodies of water…but ever so often, a fawn will follow its mother and there will be a large splash of water and then no more fawn. This guy made it.

I framed to include the buck’s reflection, thus cutting him short on headroom. The rest of the BG was pretty much as what you can see now and pretty uninteresting.

It is beautifully framed, I like the reflection, splash and catch-light.
You may reduce the mid tones a touch and burning the white part of tail may get some details in there.
