Most of the gators that Mike Ramy and I saw from his boat dove and disappeared as we slowly approached. However, this medium sized gator (6-8 feet long) splashed into the river and then wanted to watch us, which let me get this full frame head shot amidst some nice reflections.

A neat view of the Alligator, Mark, and the reflections are cool. With that angle on the gator, you might consider a pano crop, though I suspect you already did and rejected it.
Very cool shot. I really like the ethereal surrounding textures with this guy cleanly in the middle of it all.
