Nah, this is a bird photo and a nice one at that…The open beak is a big plus…I might remove the white
highlight on the left as it grabs my eye a bit. I like comp with the centered eye.

I think it’s officially the Macro and Close-up Gallery, David, so it might very well fit there. A very unique take on a GBH portrait. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one that chops off the beak like this, but it’s quite effective. I think that’s largely due to the fact that the beak is open-if it were closed, I don’t think it would work nearly as well.

I was wondering if you’d managed to focus that close.
