shot in my neighborhood. we have about 30 or 40 great blue Heron’s in our neighborhood. They are pretty active when the tide is out. And they do pretty well with feeding.

Always cool to get them with some prey, David. I’ve always wanted to get a shot like this and never have. The heron looks like it might be molting-pretty ragged looking, but part of that might be because his head and neck are pretty wet. Nice job.

Comp looks fine and I would be tempted to add a touch of blur to the upper quarter of the BG. There are some horizontal lines present that may have been emphasized during sharpening. Might just be something unique to the ripples present in the water. Otherwise, Nice comp and captured pose…Jim
